Oranges, cherries, citron … there is so much variety of glazed fruits with which you can make delicious dishes that it is precisely because of the variety, for which there are many recipes that we can find with candied fruit, however we have chosen our favorites.

Marzipan filled with glazed fruit

Ingredients

  • 250 gr raw almonds
  • 250 gr sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 200 gr glazed fruits

Steps to follow

  • 1. Grind the almond in the blender and once it is well chopped we add the sugar and mix well.
  • 2. Add the egg white to this mixture and knead by hand until a homogeneous dough is left.
  • 3.Separate the dough into two equal parts.
  • 4.Place parchment paper on a baking tray and put one of the parts on top, place the glazed fruits on top and cover with the other dough that we had reserved.
  • 5.Seal the sides so that the glazed fruits are inside the dough, and make a few cuts on the top.
  • 6.Meter in the oven, preheated to 180º, for 6 minutes.

Candied fruit cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet of yeast
  • 3 glasses of flour
  • 1 glass of milk and 1 glass of oil
  • 1 glass of oil
  • 2 glasses of sugar
  • Lemon zest
  • candied fruits to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of rum or cognac.

Steps to follow

  • 1.For the cake mass, add the eggs, the sugar, the milk and the lemon zest to a bowl and mix everything well. Preheat the oven to 150º.
  • 2.Pour the flour over the dough and stir well so that a homogeneous dough is left on which to pour the glazed fruit pieces and the brandy.
  • 3. Grease a rectangular dish with oil, sprinkle it with flour and pour the dough.
  • 4.Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

Glazed fruit filled cookies

Ingredients

  • 175 g of butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 220 gr of flour
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • Chopped candied fruit

Steps to follow

  • 1.Pour the butter, sugar and egg yolks into a bowl and mix well.
  • 2. Incorporate the flour until you get a homogeneous dough.
  • 3.We are taking small pieces of the dough and making small balls
  • 4.Incorporate the pieces of candied fruit inside the balls and place them on the baking tray.
  • 5.Introduce the cookies to the oven, preheated to 180º for 15 minutes, until golden brown and then let cool.

Pork medallions with candied fruit

Ingredients

  • Pork medallions
  • spring onion
  • a cup of wine
  • milk
  • Brown sugar
  • honey
  • Pepper
  • lard
  • Salt

Steps to follow

  • 1. Season the medallions and seal them. Put them in the oven, preheated to 150º and finish cooking.
  • 2.For the garnish, cut the fruits and onions into wedges and place them in a saucepan together with the butter, sugar and salt. Let it simmer until it begins to caramelize.
  • 3.Place the medallions with the sauce and add the chosen glazed fruits and straight to the table.
